**Job Overview**:
Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to join our Accounts team. This is an in-person job.

The job location is **405 Laird Road, Guelph ON N1G 4P7.** Hours will be Monday to Friday **(8:30am-5:00pm).**

**Summary**:
**Duties**
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in the general ledger accurately and timely.
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including posting and reconciliation.
- Help ensure proper internal controls are maintained and assist with internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts and other financial documents for easy retrieval.
- Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all necessary accounting entries are made.
- Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned, including maintaining accounting files and supporting other departments with financial data.
- Work in compliance with the provision of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures.
- Requirements:
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Previous experience in accounting or administrative role.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with the team and external parties.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
