**What you will do**:
The Ottawa Hospital is looking for a dynamic and talented health leader to join its Medical Imaging leadership team in the role of Supervisor, Nuclear Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity as we continue our journey of medical imaging services transformation through the optimization of a new health information and referral system, a multi-year capital equipment plan, and the future development of our new world-class Civic hospital.
This multi-site, fast-paced Service Line encompasses a significant clinical service footprint, representing approximately 500,000 patient encounters per year throughout our various imaging modalities. Medical Imaging is home to hundreds of highly skilled and dedicated leaders, staff, physicians, and volunteers delivering on our vision of providing world-class medical imaging services that we would want for our own loved ones.
This position will also be integral to upholding the vision of TOH, to provide each patient with the world-class care, exceptional service and compassion that we would want for our loved ones.
**What you will bring**:
- Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program at a recognized educational institution;
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist;
- Member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO);
- Five (5) years of leadership experience in a healthcare environment within Nuclear Medicine;
- Minimum ten (10) years technical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist;
- Practical experience in radiation safety;
- Strong working knowledge of current technical methods and standards in Medical Imaging;
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of supervising staff and a practical knowledge of managing people within a collective agreement;
- Knowledge of Privacy Legislation and WHMIS;
- Good working knowledge of Radiopharmaceuticals;
- Good working knowledge of ancillary systems, PACS, and Enterprise NMIS;
- Intermediate computer knowledge;
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze fiscal and patient care data;
- Ability to effectively work with all members of health care teams;
- Ability to respond to large numbers of simultaneous demands from patients, families, staff, physicians, other departments etc.;
- Ability to identify potential for patient or institutional risk and intervene appropriately;
- Ability to adapt to new and unexpected events;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Excellent organizational, time management skills and task prioritization skills;
- Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution and coaching;
- Excellent analytical, presentation, problem solving and change management skills.

- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
