**About the Company**:
New York Painting & Coating Ltd is a well-established business providing painting services in Western Canada. We seek an experienced **Controller** to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

As the **Controller**, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, preparing month-end financial statements, and handling consolidated in-house financial statements. You will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare and consolidate in-house financial statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry-specific accounting standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- CPA designation (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of **5+ years** of accounting experience, with a strong background in **full-cycle accounting**.
- Experience in **preparing month-end and consolidated in-house financial statements**.
- Prior experience in the **construction industry** is an asset.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
