**Salary Range**:$65,000 to $75,000 + Bonus

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with expertise in commercial and industrial sheet metal to join our growing VaughanAir team. This role is critical to our project lifecycle, responsible for providing timely, accurate, and competitive estimates that help win and deliver profitable work. You will collaborate with customers, account managers, designers, and our production team to scope, price, and communicate project requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for custom sheet metal and ductwork projects using VentBOM and PractiCam.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and project scopes for bidding purposes.
- Collaborate closely with account managers and designers to align the estimating strategy with client needs.
- Effectively communicate with customers and vendors regarding pricing, clarification, and timeline alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, historical pricing, and material/labor cost trends.
- Collaborate with production to ensure that estimates align with fabrication capacity and efficiency.
- Participate in project handoffs and production reviews to ensure a smooth transition from bid to build.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools, processes, and accuracy.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in estimating for HVAC, sheet metal, or commercial/industrial construction
- Proficient in using specialized sheet metal estimating software
- Strong understanding of sheet metal ductwork systems, materials, and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Strong math, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Work is primarily in an office environment but may include field visits and occasional work outside of an office environment.
- Must be able to use a computer to access, input and retrieve information.
