**About Us**: We are Chee Dusevic, a small boutique firm, established in 1998, with a strong Real Estate component. We emphasize business, real estate, purchases, sales, mortgages, project development, filing of plans and related development documents while also dealing with commercial mortgages and transactions. We are looking for a full-time legal assistant to join us.
**Job Title**:Legal Assistant Conveyancer**
Description:The legal assistant role while primarily focused on Real Estate, will include from time to time sharing with other staff some reception and administrative support responsibilities. This is an in-office only position so we can only consider applicants who can conveniently do so.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Draft correspondence and Real Estate documents
- Perform various online registry searches and online filing
- Diarizing deadlines, use of the BF system and calendar entries
- Organizing files, document binders and other file materials
- Act as primary Real Estate contact
- Arranging couriers
- Document scanning and file closing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 Am - 5:00 Pm
**Qualifications**:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in conveyancing
- Current experience with Real Estate practice in BC
- Familiarity with searches, documentation, practices and Land Title procedures and filing deadlines
- Current experience with conveyance software, we currently use LDD but have also used e-convey
- Strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively, take initiative and be resourceful
Pay: From $62,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
