If you are motivated, have a "can do" attitude and a desire to learn and grow with an organization, this opportunity is for you **GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager. The accounts payable specialist is responsible for processing non-trade and trade invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner bases and in accordance with company policy and procedures. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **AND DUTIES**: Receiving invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders, coding and entering of all invoices in high volume. Identifying discrepancies and coordinating with operation department and vendor to resolve the quantity or pricing difference. Building and maintaining a positive relationship with vendors. Reviewing and reconciling with vendors’ statement of account. Pays vendors by scheduling and preparing EFT and cheque payments. Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies. Communicate and resolve vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures. Provide monthly expense accrual. Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay payments Clear cheques in system. Maintain AP invoicing filing system. Assists with preparation of various Finance reports, including month and year-end processes. Assist in completion of audit schedule. **QUALIFICATIONS**: - Minimum one-year experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment - Able to work independently, assess urgency and risks to make timely decisions - Good written and oral communication skills - Works well in a team environment **Job Types**: Full-time Location: Hybrid in Coquitlam, BC **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care Schedule: - 8 hour shift **Experience**: - Accounts payable: 1 year (required)
