Position Summary - Insurance Underwriter Associate
**Must have Insurance Underwriting** experience and reside in Toronto area.
LOCATION: Downtown Toronto (4 days a week on site)

- Strong problem-solving ability
You will be responsible for processing automatic renewals, assisting underwriters and management as required and general servicing of accounts (binding, issuance and mid-term requests).
Key tasks, coordinate transactions between an Underwriter and a Shared Services Operations group.
Assist in creating policies and endorsements, order Loss report, misc tasks to assist underwriters.
The role performs services including premium coding, issuing of insurance policies for Auto and Loss Sensitive business.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in business environment where fast-paced analysis and processing was required
- Basic knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners, as well as working independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and to make critical business decisions effectively
- Strong focus on due diligence and compliance
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
