**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**:
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager will direct and manage all related key functions for Supply Chain including procurement, manufacturing, and inventory management through to distribution. The Supply Chain Manager will be hands-on as well as provide proactive leadership and strategic direction and will be responsible for the implementation of Supply Chain best practices. This position is responsible for 5 direct reports.
**Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
**Leadership & Team Management**
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to Supply Chain team ensuring development of performance-oriented team
- Ensure Supply chain team is focused on cross-functional collaboration internally and externally to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives
- Create a culture of innovation and process driven to support our customer’s and strategic business initiatives
- Establish annual goals and objectives in coordination with corporate objectives, managing performance to ensure attainment
- Ensure end-to-end product supply is managed to ensure any potential risks are identified and contingency plans are in place
- Develop contingency supply strategies, identify risks, potential liabilities, and forecast tolerance to assure supply
- Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks according to fluctuating deadlines
- Continuously improve the supply chain to successfully manage the complexities of our customer’s needs; drive continuous improvement efforts in the department by leading initiatives such as: lead time reduction, flexibility, supplier responsiveness, forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, etc.
- Develop and Execute Strategies for meeting Supply Chain Operations KPIs including but not limited to; Cost Reductions, On Time Delivery, Inventory Reduction & Freight in accordance with targets
- Ensure appropriate procedures are established and documented for all positions within the Supply Chain department
- Regular communication with Leadership and Operations team to ensure alignment of goals, project progression and timely delivery
- Provide transparent, clear and concise communication to senior leadership team members
**Scheduling & Planning**
- Assist in facilitating the Demand and Supply Planning (Master Production Scheduling) by playing a key role to ensure product availability and proactively addressing gaps in a solution-based manner
- Assist in developing strategies around contract manufacturing to facilitate level loading production
- Work with all third-party contract manufacturers and confirm capabilities, capacities and issues across all critical functions
- Work with Master Scheduler to mitigate any part shortage arising due to peak loading
- Address and resolve all complex planning/forecasting/scheduling issues
- Manage new or existing product tooling contracts as required
**Inventory and Materials Management**
- Maintain and implement the materials plan supporting the master production schedule in accordance with actual customer demand
