**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research & Development Assistant to join our team. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for materials science and a keen interest in creating and enhancing composite materials and tooling projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and durability of composite materials.
- Assist in the design, fabrication, and testing of tooling and other related components.
- Collaborate with senior R&D engineer to troubleshoot issues and refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineer to troubleshoot challenges and implement solutions.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Has had exposure or experience with Thermo plastics or Thermo forming
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with auto body tools and pneumatic tools are highly desirable
- CSA-approved steel toe boots

**Preferred**:

- Experience with composite material testing and characterization.
- Manufacturing experience (1 year preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
