Structural Concrete Foreperson

**We are looking for applicants with 5+ years of concrete construction experience, specifically in municipal flatworks (city spec) as well as industrial flatworks. We equally value those with a strong background in commercial & industrial structural concrete in infrastructure, underground, & foundation(s) & their components.**

**Job Overview**:
You'll join our Construction Team as a Concrete _**Working**_ Foreperson.

In this position, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily site activities, including crews consisting of carpenters, finishers, & labourers, to ensure that work is completed efficiently & according to project specifications & timelines.

You'll have a proactive, solutions-oriented, improvement-driven mindset regarding team & project performance. You can comfortably handle planning materials, equipment, & labourers as required to meet project timelines & deadlines. In addition, you have the foresight to plan accordingly to ensure a smooth execution as projects progress. Furthermore, you have a methodical approach to dealing with problems on site, regardless of what they are, while overseeing daily activities & ensuring the safety of your crew, and you understand how to communicate changing conditions effectively to your superintendent.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning, levelling, and setting up forms
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and equipment
- Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, screeds, and other tools
- Install rebar and wire mesh for reinforcement purposes
- Assist with the placement and finishing of concrete slabs, walls, and other structures
- Operate power tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

**Qualifications**:

- Experience & willingness to lead, mentor, & monitor crews with a professional approach & positive mannerisms.
- Previous experience as a Concrete Formwork Carpenter, Finisher, Supervisor or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints & schematics for construction projects
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Trimble, SiteMax max or others.
- Basic knowledge of construction estimating & budgeting
- Strong physical stamina & the ability to safely lift heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination & manual dexterity
- Ability to work well in a team environment & follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail & commitment to producing high-quality work
- Knowledge of quality control procedures for concrete construction projects

Task Concrete values experience, competency, knowledge, & expertise in our leadership roles. With this in mind, this role's compensation is negotiable based on the individual's unique combination of the above-mentioned items.
