Overview
We are seeking two (2) Family Physicians to assist our walk-in clinic/medical centre:

**Hours**: 40 hours per week
**Terms of Employment**:Permanent, Full Time

**Compensation**:

- The position is compensated on a fee-for-service basis, with all billings submitted through the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). The physician will receive 80% of total billings, while the clinic retains 20% to cover administrative and operational support. A temporary minimum guarantee of $121/hour may be offered during the initial period to support income stability.

At the clinic, physicians typically earn between $35,000 and $50,000 per month, based on an average of 40-50 patients per day. The clinic provides full administrative, billing, and Electronic Medical Records (“EMR”) support. This compensation structure aligns with standard medical practice in Ontario.

**Job Duties**:

- Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health;
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments;
- Perform and assist in routine surgery;
- Provide emergency care;
- Provide acute care management;
- Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases;
- Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention;
- Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues;
- Perform patient advocacy role;
- Coordinate or manage primary patient care;
- Provide continuous care to patients;
- Supervise home care services;
- Report births, deaths, and contagious and other diseases to governmental authorities.

**Requirements**:

- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution;
- Completion of residency training program in Family Medicine;
- Must be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario;
- Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) preferred;
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, and knowledge of best practices I primary care medicine;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage time effectively;
- Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in continuing medical education (CME) programs;
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
- Fluency in English is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $252,000.00-$260,000.00 per year
