**Mission**: To help people who face barriers to work obtain employment and achieve self-sufficiency through innovative job training, placement, and support services.
Fedcap Canada is excited to play an integral part in the transformation of Ontario’s Employment Services system in its role as the Service System Manager for the Halton-Hamilton catchment area. Fedcap Canada employees will work in partnership with service partners focused on providing tailored support for unemployed people, including those with disabilities, on their journey towards employment and into sustainable work. Our goals are to enhance local capacity while amplifying the good work and best practices already underway.
**Position Summary**:
Represent the agency at stakeholder forums including government, employer, and service provider forums ensuring alignment to Ontario Government policies and procedures and approach to employment transformation services.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Serve as Fedcap Canada’s representative on external committees, including, but not limited to, stakeholders, the ministry, and boards.
- Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of a contract wide Stakeholder Management strategy and plan including statutory and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all stakeholder management activity is coordinated and aligned with the Stakeholder Management strategy and plan.
- Work closely with the Senior Stakeholder Manager to support and influence policy decisions relating to employment transformation.
- Strengthen the Fedcap Canada brand with policy and local decision makers.
- Work in partnership with the Fedcap Canada Leadership Team to support our continued growth within Canada.
- Support the development of quarterly communications to the Fedcap Canada Leadership Team, Fedcap Group and Board members on strategic plan progress and delivery.
- Meet with community leaders and members to gain an understanding of their community and build positive relationships.
- Manage stakeholder mapping and prepare communications to stakeholders and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
- Arrange and attend stakeholder meetings with technical team members and ensure feedback of stakeholder responses and requests to technical teams are responded to within agreed timescales.
- Work with cross functional teams to recognize internal and external partnership/communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
- Possess a complete view of the organization’s business from all sides, a wraparound perspective of the company affairs.
- Establish peer relationships with the existing and hired management.
- Expert knowledge of agency policy and procedures.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Appropriate degree level qualification in a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in either a public affairs department, policy, government relations, advocacy, or similar role
- either in-house or agency.
- A high degree of emotional intelligence and critical thinking is required to be successful in this role.
- Experience in in the political process, formulation of policy and how to effectively engage political stakeholders.
