Position Summary

The Manager, Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for supporting the strategies and processes to promote the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network's EV ChargeON program's growth and sustainability. This role with direction from the managing Director, will work with internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of the strategies essential for the development and growth of Ontario's charging infrastructure network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and strategically contribute to key organizational activities, including providing expert guidance to committees of volunteer groups, advisory boards, and review committees.
  • Deliver on, track, and analyze critical KPIs for the EV ChargeON program, providing insightful reports and recommendations directly to the EV ChargeON Director.
  • Identify, categorize, and map all internal and external stakeholders, including utility providers, local distribution companies (LDCs), organizations, charging operators, regulators, community groups, andEV drivers, with the goal of understanding their interests, influence, and potential impact on the program's success.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan that defines communication channels, interaction frequency, and tailored messaging to ensure the success of the program.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of efficient information workflows across the department and company to optimize business operations and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Oversee and manage the departmental budget, proactively monitoring costs and expenses to inform strategic financial planning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, actively fostering strong, collaborative relationships and building consensus among diverse and often competing stakeholder groups to navigate often time complex issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for office activities and the team, optimizing processes and resources to enhance departmental effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver clear, consistent communications about the EV charging program's objectives, progress, benefits (economic, environmental, and accessibility), and future plans, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed.
  • Ensure departmental operations align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of emerging charging technologies, industry trends, stakeholder groups, and business developments, translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategies, identify key growth opportunities, and contribute to long-term organizational vision.
  • Establish and monitor performance and project tracking frameworks, proactively guiding the team towards achieving strategic goals and ensuring accountability.
  • Establish robust measurement frameworks to quantify the performance and impact of partnered projects and programs, providing data-driven insights to inform future strategic decisions.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment

  • Will be required to attend events outside of normal business hours
