Cafe Attendant

We proudly operate food service venues in some of Canada’s most iconic cultural institutions — including the **Canadian Museum of History**, **Canadian War Museum**, and **Canadian Museum of Nature**. Our mission is to deliver **fresh, high-quality food** and **exceptional customer service** in dynamic, culturally rich settings.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as **Café Attendants**.

**Position Requirements**
- **Bilingual in French and English** (required)
- **Available to work weekends and holidays** (required)
- **Open availability year-round**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet customers and process sales transactions accurately using a POS system
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks
- Heat and serve food items as requested
- Clear and reset tables, removing dishes promptly after guests leave
- Clean furniture, fixtures, and some equipment to maintain a clean and welcoming café environment
- Maintain a tidy and organized service area, including restocking coffee cups, cutlery, napkins, condiments, beverages, and food items
- Ensure the availability of clean dining materials at all times
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Empty garbage and recycling bins throughout the day and at closing, including outdoor areas during the summer
- Provide friendly, professional communication with guests, addressing inquiries and special requests
- Support the team in maintaining smooth and efficient operations during busy periods

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role
- Comfortable working in a **fast-paced environment** and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Confident in handling cash and using POS systems for orders and payments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- **Valid Food Handler Certificate** or **willingness to obtain**:

- **Smart Serve Certification** or **willingness to obtain**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
