**Job Title**: Student Success Advisor

**Company**: triOS College

**Location**: Hybrid role, with occasional on-site attendance at the nearest campus.

**Hours**:Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am EST to 7:00 pm EST

**Start Date**:August 25, 2025

**What you'll be doing**:

- Manage and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Proctor online and in-person exams for remote students, ensuring academic integrity.
- Assist with CPR registrations for students requiring certification as part of their program.
- Preparation and distribution of student ID cards
- Help manage third-party reporting requirements (e.g., progress reports to WSIB, BJO etc.).
- Monitor discrepancies in attendance; follow up with instructors to validate participation records.
- Support Remote Education Director, Program Administrator, Education Consultants, Employment Specialists, and Financial Aid Officers with tasks specific to remote student support.
- Provide administrative assistance for remote campus operations, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Diffuse upset, angry or hostile students and provide guidance and information and refer appropriately.
- Identify students at risk or in crisis and proactively connect them with the appropriate resources and supports.
- Follow a prescribed student engagement process with face-to-face meetings, phone calls, surveys, and electronic communications to assist students successfully through their program and student experience.
- Create Student Success Plans (SSP).
- Work with Instructors to ensure student SSP and accommodations are understood and implemented.
- Monitor the implementation of student accommodations.
- Create custom schedules for retakes.
- Initiate and provide ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk.
- Provide guidance on personal issues with students and connect them to local counselling resources and/or the student assistance provider (where applicable).
- Encourage and support students as they gain the skills and knowledge necessary for success.
- Provide a trusting environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests.
- Assist students in developing an educational plan and strategies to improve student success.
- Coach students towards independence and self-direction and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
- Check and follow up on missing internship attendance weekly, ensuring accuracy in records.
- Prepare and submit monthly internship attendance reports to the appropriate teams for tracking and compliance.
- Assist with remote campus logistics, including virtual event support and resource coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, communication logs, and report timelines for remote cohorts

**What you bring to the position**:

- 3+ years of management, operational and/or administrative experience in a comparable educational environment.
- Post-secondary education in business or technology, university degree preferred.
- CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certifications would be an asset.
- Experience working with students who require accommodations.
- Recommends new policies when existing ones do not adequately cover the situation.
- Assesses external environmental factors that constitute a major element of influence.
- Exercises excellent judgement in problem solving since it requires balancing several sets of specialized or technical inputs against business plans or objectives that may extend beyond the current business cycle.
