The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a productive, diverse, and engaged workforce comprised of the best talent. The Human Resources Business Partner guides business leaders on issues with a critical focus on managing complex people dynamics and completing needs analyses to reach appropriate decisions.- The incumbent also supports strategic change management, execution of operational deliverables and development and implementation of required talent management solutions to the business.**Responsibilities**Demonstrates specialized knowledge, experience and skills for the purposes of contributing to a well-rounded HR function
-Provides consultation, guidance and advice to internal client groups, partners, and stakeholders that can range from basic to complex
-Identifies root causes and recommends human resources solutions and designs solutions, either independently or in collaboration with others, to human resource issues
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners (may include organizational leadership, management, team members, service providers)
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and ensures compliance with internal policies
-Deliver high quality HR services to clients based on assignments established by the client.
-Work with client groups to identify, design and execute strategies that drive business results through expertise and guidance in areas such as which may include talent management, employee relations, performance management, legal and procedural compliance, workplace policies, employee engagement, program/policy roll-out, training, change management, resiliency, and team-building. Through knowledge transfer, increase the ability of business unit managers and staff to handle these issues independently.
-Draw upon past HR experience and educate client groups on corporate perspective and possible impacts their actions might have in the short term, longer term, and at different levels of the organization
Using analytical and conceptual thinking, proactively identify key issues and emerging trends, and suggest solutions as required
-Work collaboratively within a team (HR and business portfolio) and leverage individual ideas, expertise and contributions that foster partnership and cooperation, while benefiting all stakeholders
-Partners with Managers to diagnose HR issues and recommend specific HR solutions to drive desired organizational changes, supports client goals and business objectives while maintaining legislative requirements
-Ensures that all HR programs, policies and processes are implemented in a manner that supports the organization’s Mission, Vision and Values.
-Provide coaching and development opportunities to more junior team members
-Participate in or lead projects as required
**Skills / Knowledge / Education**8+ years work experience in a human resources role with a specialization in business partnering
-Completion of post-secondary program in business, human resources or a related field
-Expert knowledge in human resource business partnering and basic knowledge of other HR disciplines such as: organizational development, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, engagement, and training & development
-Experience in the insurance and financial services industry, an asset
-CHRL designation, an asset
-Bilingualism (English/French), an asset
