**Position Overview**
- Responsible to work within assigned territory to support POC Solution Specialists to win prospective business and achieve Point of Care product lines sales.
- Acts as the POC product and workflow specialist to provide training and implementation support as well as go-live strategies for new POC Critical Care products sold within the hospital, hospital laboratory, and other healthcare institutions.
- Focus on Critical Care products - Blood Gas and Cardiac testing.
- Technical support for Urinalysis and Diabetes product lines
**Responsibilities**
1. Responsible to provide training to new customers on Critical Care products in Acute-Care settings _(primarily Emergency Department, ICU, OR, Lab)_. Training components include the following:
- _ Overview of product_
- _ How to run a Patient Sample_
- _ How to run Quality Control_
- _ Instrument Maintenance_
- _ Instrument Troubleshooting_
2. Responsible for providing implementation, post-go live and continued education support, including but not limited to:
- _ Instrument Troubleshooting_
- _ Implementation plans and schedules_
- _ Go-live strategy development_
- _ Facilitate coordination and relationships amongst key decision makers_
- _ Work with accounts to establish protocols that abide by regional, provincial and Federal guidelines (ISO, Lab requirements, Accreditation)_
- _ Workflow observation to ensure proper utilization of equipment and resources_
3. Required to interact & develop/strengthen relationships with customers in the specified target account to drive continued growth & customer satisfaction _(Nurses, Biochemists, Laboratory Technologists, Medical Directors, Respiratory Therapists, Perfusionists, POC Coordinators, etc)._
4. Develop adoption strategies for accounts while managing clinical and technical obligations from customer, including change management.
5. Support POC Solution Specialist with RFP responses related to training and support.
6. Required to support POC Solutions Specialist in preparing Product and POC solution Overview presentations and technical product demos.
7. Support POC Solutions Specialist in forecasting with estimated go-live dates.
8. Must be able to acquire and sustain high level of product knowledge, technical knowledge, competitive knowledge, healthcare market knowledge and develop high degree of personal efficiency.
9. Highly organized able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
10. Required to collaborate with the entire Siemens Healthineers team including Technical Applications, Field Service, Business Management, Contracts, Finance and Legal.
11. Manage clinical and technical questions from customer - ability to troubleshoot and resolve product issues in a timely manner by efficiently navigating the internal network of collaborating departments within Siemens.
**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree with a Health Sciences specialization.
- Self-motivated, as well as customer and results oriented.
- Excellent negotiation and risk management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of hospitals and testing procedures.
- Experience working within a hospital/POC setting with a clinical/technical background -specifically _Emergency Department Nurse, POC coordinator, ED Physician, Cardiologist or MLT._
- Deep understanding of hospital hierarchy including key decisions makers and approval pathways to implement new testing technology.
- High level of presentation and communication skills including the ability to present technical topics.
- Teaching experience and experience with IT (working with a data manager/middleware) considered assets.
- Past experience with a large implementation project considered a strong asset.
- Bilingualism (French) is considered a strong asset and preferred; required for the East territory position, not mandatory for Ontario based position.
