Civil Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Utility Civil Construction projects. Ensuring that all employees are working safely and efficiently, and they may also be tasked with managing projects or teams of workers.

Utility foreman typically have a background in construction management. This gives them an understanding of how to manage large groups of people while ensuring that everyone is doing their job correctly.

Utility Foreman Job Duties

Utility foremen typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Reading Construction Drawings
- Knowledge of grades
- Oversee the installation of primary, secondary, communication duct banks, precast transformer pads, protective bollards, manholes, pull chamber, terminal pole bases and street light pole bases
- Experience with concrete forming for pads of different sizes
- Ability to read ON 1 Call and private locates
- Ability to operate excavation machinery is an asset, but not necessary
- Communicating with other team members, contractors, and other supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Monitoring the progress of projects to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed by workers on site
- Coordinating the work of subcontractors, such as plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, as needed
- Scheduling daily work activities to ensure that deadlines are met
- Overseeing the installation of new utility services, including gas lines for furnaces or stoves, water pipes for faucets or toilets, or electrical wiring for light fixtures or outlets
- Maintaining records of hours worked by employees for payroll purposes
- Performing general maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment used in construction operations
- Overseeing the construction or repair of buildings or other structure

**Salary**: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
