**What you bring**

You are a talented, reliable, and professional Chef and House Manager with the ability and experience to run and maintain the smooth daily operations of commercial and private residential settings.

We are looking for a chef with experience preparing healthy and nutritious food with daily cuisines that are varied including Canadian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Indian, Asian, Vegetarian etc. Your previous experience in a similar role includes the ability to balance being professional, discrete, and intuitively helpful while respecting the personal space of the family and its commercial entities. An exceptional communicator, you can quickly develop positive working relationships with family, guests, and others as you efficiently manage meal planning and preparation; attend to home/commercial management responsibilities; and generally, work to make the lives of their employers easier.

**What you’ll do**

Kitchen/Meal Preparation: Plan meals and note dietary requirements and personal preferences. Prepare food and provide nutritious family-style meals. Shop for groceries and manage pantry and fridge. Clean and put away dishes. Clean multiple kitchens including fridge, stove/oven/BBQ as needed.

Facility (Household Management & Cleaning: Monitor and manage household inventory. Assist with scheduling household projects and organization. Trash and recycling management. Complete minor household repairs/maintenance and /or schedule and supervise any other household repairs/maintenance. Assist with family and residence for household systems as networks, AV, and Security. Household organizational projects such as manuals and systems, seasonal items. Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure and hazard-free environment.

Family Support: Coordinate and assist with event planning and management (e.g., Birthday or holiday parties). Arrange appointments for personal and professional needs.

Child Care: While childcare is not a primary responsibility of this role, you will be interacting with a young child or children on a regular basis and therefore will assist by being a role model through creating a positive and supportive environment, while supporting the family/employee to maximize quality time with the children. Openness to occasional short periods of child supervision would be an asset.

**What you’ve got**
- 5+ years previous experience as Chef/Cook; personal housekeeper or manager, or similar role is preferred.
- Polished and professional with exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Self-starter and quick learner who can work independently to prioritize and manage your time and responsibilities.
- Excellent planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as strong problem-solving skills to figure out how to “get things done.”
- A sense and respect for boundaries, exercises diplomacy and discretion and always maintains privacy and confidentiality.
- Able to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting and sanding for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable with a background check.
- Able to work full-time but flexible and accommodating as required as occasional work on evenings and weekends may be needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
