**SALARY**:$75,000/Annum, prorated for partial years

**LOCATION**:4 days from our Newmarket office and 1 day from home or in community

The Programs Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various program activities, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives. This role involves managing staff budgets and funding, developing programs and events, monitoring performance, and reporting on outcomes.

The Programs Supervisor acts as a central point of contact for WCYR’S set of programs, ensuring their efficient and effective execution while achieving organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include resource management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of program effectiveness.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Leadership and Management:

- Supervising and managing program staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and addressing any issues or conflicts.

Program Development and Implementation:

- Developing and implementing program and volunteer policies, procedures, and work processes.

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:

- Monitoring program performance, identifying areas for improvement, and making necessary adjustments.

Resource Management:

- Managing operational and program budgets and resources, ensuring they are allocated effectively.

Reporting and Communication:

- Preparing and presenting program reports to senior management and communicating with stakeholders.

Compliance:

- Ensuring adherence to organizational standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Liaising with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure program objectives are met, streamlined referrals are made, and partnership on relevant programs/events
- Conduct outreach and community engagement to promote programs and services, maintain online presence to promote programs, events, and services

Project Supervisor:

- Planning, implementing, and monitoring special project activities to ensure successful completion within timeframes and budget.

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years supervisory experience, ideally in program development and management in the non-profit sector
- Post secondary education in social services or related field
- 3-5 years experience in a social services or related field
- Understanding of non-profit legislation and requirements
- Ability to consult on complex issues, resolve conflicts and build strong relationships
- Experience with project management, program evaluation and reporting
- Some financial experience, managing and tracking budgets
- Experience in digital and social media engagement
- Proficient in Microsoft office 365
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check
