EMSL Analytical, is currently seeking a full time **Laboratory Administrative Assistant** for its EMSL Canada Inc. location in Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto, ON.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
Receiving environmental samples and log-in/data entry of Chain of Custody into LIMS system
Inspect samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that packaging is not compromised, and informs laboratory or department manager if there are any concerns noted related to sample integrity
Ensures that laboratory has ability, capability, and capacity to analyze samples prior to log-in (with laboratory or department managers)
Log in all samples in a timely manner based on turnaround time
Delivers incoming samples into the laboratory
Ensure all samples are placed in the proper storage area to await analysis
Informs the laboratory manager or analytical specialist of any special priorities regarding the samples
Greet and assist walk-in clients
Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, mailing, invoicing, etc.
Generating analytical reports into the computer system for the production of final, client ready reports
Organizing and stocking of supplies
Credit card processing

**Requirements**:
HS Degree or equivalent required, College or University is an asset, 1-3 years administrative experience - data entry experience is desired
Laboratory administrative experience a plus, Science background is desirable
Ability to understand scientific terminology
60 WPM typing speed required, Close attention to detail
Must be proficient in MS Office, additional software programs an asset
Excellent communication and computer skills, Excellent customer service skills - customer service experience required
Computer proficiency is a must
Customer service experience required
Willing and able to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments, Must be able to stand and sit for various lengths of time

**Available Shift**:
Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
