Barque Smokehouse on Roncesvalles is looking for Front of House Support Staff to join our team in the role of Host, Server Assistant, and/or Takeout, on a part time capacity. We are currently in our eleventh year of operation and have been fortunate enough to build up a foundation of loyal diners but also have new guests trying us on a regular basis.
**Job Details**:
- Some restaurant experience is ideal but we are willing to the train the right people. Ultimately, we are looking for kind and compassionate individuals who are natural hosts.
We have an inclusive pricing/tip-free model and are part of the Ontario Living Wage Network, which means all employees are paid no less than the starting wage of $22.25/hr. Everyone also receives paid personal/sick days, an annual allowance for extended health and dental benefits, plus free dedicated mental health care. This model allows for much more stable and steady earnings, along with a truly more positive team-based and friendly environment.
We check in with staff regularly to ensure everyone is happy and progressing accordingly while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. The majority of the management team has been with the company for half a decade or more, with several other full-time staff that has been with us for years.
Suffice to say we believe strongly in supporting our staff and promoting within, providing a dynamic work environment where everyone is valued, respected, and heard.
