Mood Cannabis Co is one of the first legal cannabis retail stores in Nanaimo and is a leader in Cannabis Customer Experience. We are a family owned and operated business with two locations in North Nanaimo. We strive to provide the best cannabis experience for our clients, which we do by curating our menu based on customer and staff feedback, as well as ensuring all customers find products that fit the "mood" they are looking for. We achieve this by having a close-knit team of passionate and professional Budtenders who have no shortage of personality and like to have fun **The "MoodMaker" Position** We are in search of individuals who are passionate about cannabis and customer experience to join our team. As a Moodmaker, you are the heart of our customer experience and you will be the first point of contact for both the cannabis curious and the experienced regular customer alike. **Your Responsibilities**: - Welcoming customers into the store - Using sales cycle training (provided) to offer a consistent and spectacular customer experience - Continuously learning about the new products and consumption methods available in Canada in order to confidently answer customer questions - Assisting the management and supervisor teams with operational duties when needed (such as inventory counts and receiving orders) - Open and honest communication with other team members, supervisors, and management - Stocking, merchandising, and organizing products - Cash handling and Point of Sale operation - Requesting ID from clients who appear under 35 years of age - Complying with all Federal and Provincial regulations **Qualifications & Requirements** - A current BC Selling it Right certification (required) - Possess a valid Provincial ID (example: drivers’ license or BCID) (required) - Retail experience & previous sales cycle training (preferred) - And of course, knowledge and experience with cannabis and various cannabis consumption methods is an asset **We Offer**: - Competitive compensation with anniversary raises and tips - Opportunities for extended health and dental benefits - Opportunities for growth and development within a growing business, including ongoing development and training of personal and professional skills - Flexible scheduling for students - A great staff discount on top of our already competitive pricing - Sales competitions - Community involvement and enrichment, including charitable giving programs and education outreach - A team based, fun, fast paced, and energetic work environment - Lots of snacks **Hours** Casual / part-time positions available with opportunities for growth and development. **How to Apply** **Equal Opportunity** Mood Cannabis Co is an equal opportunity employer.
