**Position Overview**:
**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor activities throughout the recreation facility and prevent accidents through the enforcement of rules, policies and regulations governing the conduct of persons using the facility while promoting a leisure atmosphere.
- Respond to accidents and emergencies through prescribed procedures.
- Assist with development and implementation of programs in response to public needs.
- Ensure work and program areas are maintained in a neat, tidy and safe manner and report facility deficiencies.
- Communicate with the public on facility rules, policies, and regulations to enhance public knowledge and safety and ensure adherence.
- Handle cash including but not limited to product sales, receipting, counting and balancing.
- Register public for programs.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Grade 12; or
- Grade 10 if a continuing full-time student
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience or further education in recreation and/or community development is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the customers, public and co-workers.
- Self-starter and an ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- First Aid and CPR “C” Certification from a recognized institution is an asset
