**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Properly stocking inventory for the following day.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and management.
