**Mamakas Taverna is looking to a hire part
- or full
- time Food Runner / Busser to join our team for the summer season. We are a Greek restaurant on Ossington that takes pride in taking traditional Greek dishes and re-inventing them with modern cooking techniques and presentation.**

**We’re looking for professionals who are passionate about the hospitality industry, have excellent time management skills, and who have open availability for evenings and weekends, including weekend lunches.**

**2+ years experience in a restaurant setting is an asset.**

**Summary of responsibilities**:

- Running food to tables in a timely manner
- Keeping up to date on menu changes
- Be able to describe dishes to guests
- Assisting in packing orders for takeout (Uber Eats)
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the restaurant and its perimeters
- Stocking all necessary glasses, utensils, plates and all dishes needed during service
- Constant maintenance of bus bins
- Cleaning and polishing cutlery
- Checking washrooms and maintaining stock levels of all necessary products
- Respond to guests and their requests, promptly relaying to servers

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a high volume, casual fine dining restaurant
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
