**Why this role is significant**

As a Facilities Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the resort. From preventative maintenance and timely repairs to system monitoring, your expertise keeps everything running seamlessly for both guests and staff. Your proactive approach helps prevent issues before they arise, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

**A day in the life**
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager and General Manager.
- Conduct daily pool and hot tub checks, ensuring proper chemical and sanitation levels.
- Manage maintenance requests through a ticketing system, following up and completing tasks efficiently.
- Perform building and equipment repairs, including painting, carpentry, and minor electrical work.
- Maintain heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems for optimal functionality.
- Assist with refrigeration and HVAC system upkeep.
- Conduct pest control inspections and treatments.
- Inspect and maintain alarm systems while staying well-versed in emergency procedures.
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors to ensure quality and safety.
- Maintain building supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use, servicing, and inventory.
- Care for the exterior of the resort, including landscaping, parking areas, and walkways.
- Remove snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across resort maintenance.
- Address maintenance-related concerns from guests and team members, escalating issues as necessary.

**What we hope you'll bring to the team**
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet.
- Flexibility to work mornings, mid-day shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Pool Operator 1 Certification is considered an asset.
