As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as a collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team providing personal assistance including supporting activities of daily living and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support, in accordance with the patient care plan and facility policies and procedures. **Additional Required Qualifications**:
Minimum of one (1) year of HCA experience within last three (3) years in an acute inpatient surgical nursing unit. You must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time. You will be required to lift, bend and push a variety of weights while maintaining safe body mechanics stipulated by AHS It’s Your Move patient handling program. Demonstrated positive and effective interpersonal and communication skills through computer, verbal and written means, in a professional and mature manner. Recent work experience in a short-stay surgical setting.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully demonstrated an ability to independently initiate and perform tasks with mínimal supervision. Experience using Connect Care. Indigenous Awareness and Sensitivity Training. Experience working with diverse communities, groups and/or organizations (i.e. ethno-cultural, equity-setting, racialized, faith-based, LGBTQ2S+, vulnerable, marginalized, persons with disabilities, and persons across all age groups, etc.).
