Laboratory Technician

WearCheck Canada Inc is an analytical laboratory specializing in the testing of all types of lubricating and hydraulic oils. There is a current opening for a Laboratory Technician, who will join an established and effective team that typically processes several hundred samples each day.
**Duties / Responsibilities**
- Receipt and sorting of incoming samples.
- Analysis of oil samples using various instruments and equipment.
- Preparation and safe handling of reagents and other laboratory chemicals.
- Cleaning of glassware and equipment, including basic calibration and maintenance.
- Use of LIMS and other computer systems.
- Record keeping according to ISO 17025 / GLP requirements.
- Cleaning of laboratory and associated work areas.
- Safe working practices and good laboratory housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Laboratory technician diploma (experience is an advantage but full training will be provided).
- Ability to multi-task and operate several instruments over the course of the day.
- Must be well organized, time-driven, and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Quick learner, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good team player also able to effectively work independently.
- Maintains focus on Quality and meeting customer expectations.
**Position Information**
**You must be local, eligible to work in Canada, and able to commute to work. There is no remote-working option for this role.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
