As we continue to grow we are looking to add a **Vice President of Business Development** to the Scandi Family

We are looking for a proactive relationship based Business Development professional who has a strong business acumen, the knack for developing and fostering relationships. A champion for their team someone who can walk the fine line of support and collaboration as well as accountability. **What your day to day will look like**:
**Reporting into our President and CEO creating and fostering strong business relationships with both our current and potential clients. You will be managing 1 direct report our BD Director, and have 2 indirect team members our RFP Coordinator and our Estimating Analyst.**
- **Business Development;** Maintain and develop market intelligence including clients present and future plans for growth, projects, and requirements, as well as competitor activity. Identify areas of opportunity in the marketplace. Active presence in the industry developing relationships with potential clients and leads.
- **Client Relationship Management; **Execute retention strategies for key clients. Monitor key account metrics proactively addressing issues.
- **Request for Proposals; **Review client contracts and identify areas of concern negotiating with potential clients as required. Work effectively with Operations for the roll out of new clients providing contract insight and monitoring for challenges.
- **Leadership and Management; **Establish, monitor and ensure compliance of the BD team with all departmental policies and programs. Assist and encourage team to provide solutions and ideas to problems when they arise.
- **Travel;** This roles requires approximately 25% travel locally (daily within local city) and up to 40% travel within national portfolio.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Minimum 15 years of progressive business development experience with mid-senior level direct reports. Must have previous experience with RFP's and strong financial analysis skills.
- Exceptional senior level client management skills with experience managing high profile clients.
- Intermediate computer skills including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Post Secondary education in Business is preferred. Previous Managerial experience in the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry is also preferred.
