**Key position functions**:

- Facilitate and negotiate contracts with fleet service and equipment vendors in accordance with the established contract management guidelines for builds, fuel, fluids, lubricants and associated fleet support services
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective vehicle ordering, maintenance, and repair services.
- Oversee the design and procurement of new fleet vehicles. This also includes upfitting, delivery, maintenance, repairs, registration, fuel, and insurance requirements to ensure they are safe, dependable, and meet Stream-Flo standards.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations related to fleet operations, including licensing, registration, and inspections.
- Facilitate all necessary steps for the disposal of vehicles includes preparing the vehicle for sale or auction and working with accounting regarding asset retirement.
- Work with the operational team to ensure equipment needs are met.
- Schedule fleet work with 3rd party partners/vendors and ensure maintenance is planned and meets company standards. Minimize fleet downtime and increase fleet dependability.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained to Stream-Flo’s mechanical and appearance standards.
- Ensure all units are equipped with necessary documentation and supplies according to Company requirements.
- Ensure all permits and registrations are current and active for Canadian fleet.
- Actively participate with industry fleet and transportation associations to stay on top of current trends and requirements.
- Responsible for auditing the fleet program including crane logs and repairs, electronic driver logs, maintenance, etc. Ensure all vehicle files are maintained and up to date.
- Assist with driver screening, license requirements, pulling abstracts and organizing class 1/3 training.
- Monitor vehicle insurance requirements in conjunction with the Director of Risk Management.
- Assist with capital and expense budgets.
- Monitor all carrier profiles and safety fitness certificates.
- Minimum three years’ experience in fleet management and equipment procurement. Experience with custom design and truck builds would be an asset.
- Class 1 or 3 license. Picker ticket or experience working with pickers.
- Advanced skills in Word, MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point. Familiar with SAP would be an asset.
- Proficient in fleet management software.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose general mechanical issues - knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures are preferred.
- In depth knowledge on safety regulations and compliance standards. Fluent in Federal/Provincial carrier status.
- Previous experience working with HOS. (Hours of Service)
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to provide good judgement and sound decision making.
- Self-motivated, highly organized and able to work under general supervision.
- Proficient in effective problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
