**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze borrower credit profiles, income, assets, and collateral to determine loan eligibility
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and other financial ratios to assess risk and determine loan amounts
- Communicate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide guidance on loan decisions
- Maintain a working knowledge of industry regulations and company policies
- Assist in the training and development of junior mortgage brokers
**Requirements**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of mortgage underwriting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Gsuite and loan underwriting software Newton Velocity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Compensation**:
We also offer a very competitive commission structure. This position is a combination of fixed salary plus commissions. Base salary is negotiable, dependent on experience.
