Duties:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
- Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and address any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve project challenges
- Communicate project updates and progress reports to clients and internal teams
**Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., ProCore)
- Familiarity with civil engineering software (e.g., Civil 3D)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Experience with construction estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid)
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Management: Manage and supervise land servicing and residential construction
projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality
standards.
2. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of construction professionals,
including project manager, site supervisors, construction contracts, customer care, and
décor/design. Assign responsibilities, set performance objectives, and ensure effective
communication and coordination within the team.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating
costs, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures. Monitor project expenditures
and adjust as needed to ensure financial targets are met.
4. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure
that construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. Conduct
regular site inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
5. Vendor and Contractor Management: Identify, select, and negotiate contracts with
subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Oversee their performance and ensure compliance with
project specifications, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure
compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Monitor and address any
safety or environmental concerns on construction sites.
7. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals
to ensure accurate interpretation of project plans and specifications. Coordinate with clients,
addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
8. Construction Technology and Innovation: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies,
and best practices in residential construction. Identify opportunities for process improvement and
cost optimization using innovative construction methods and technology.
9. Human Resources: Oversee the job descriptions, assign responsibilities, set performance
objectives and hiring process of all team members.
10. Customer Care: Provide oversight of Customer Care, ensure training of team and
performance to exceed basic industry standards.
**Salary**: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
