The Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist the Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that products and operations meet required standards. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day quality operations, coordinating quality audits, and ensuring continuous improvement of quality systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. The coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.

**Responsibilities**:
Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Location: Pointe-Claire, Quebec
Employment Type: 14-Month Contract (with Full Benefits)

Quality and Environmental Management Systems:

- Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensure documentation and records are up to date, including SOPs, manuals, and audit trails related to quality and environmental compliance.

Audit Preparation and Coordination:

- Prepare and coordinate external, internal, and supplier audits (stakeholder communication, booking meetings, and gathering evidence).
- Conduct audit follow-ups, validate documents, and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date ISO documents and ensure their proper usage.

Training and Documentation:

- Train and support process owners in creating and updating documentation.
- Develop and maintain guidelines (SOPs, Work Instructions) and training materials for internal and external use.
- Review, update, and maintain client documentation and manuals.

Quality Control Support:

- Support the inspection team in daily quality control tasks and decision-making.
- Provide necessary tools and documents to facilitate quality control and ensure control points are in place.
- Respond to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and analyze data to identify root causes and trends.

Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement:

- Raise and follow up on Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and assist in the resolution of non-conformities.
- Promote the habit of raising NCRs and ensure follow-up on supplier evaluations and corrective actions.
- Contribute and participate in continuous improvement projects and processes.
- Supports the analysis of data from Customer Service Cases (Categorization, root causes, Cost of non-quality)
- Collaborates in Raising VOC (Voice of Customer) in case of recurrent issues / safety concerns.
- Analyze cases, root causes, drives, and implement corrective actions for recurrent issues.

Supplier Management:

- Establish and monitor Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for suppliers.
- Monitor controlled supplier list and conduct required action when necessary (evaluation required, clarification, procedure update, etc.)
- Analyze root causes of supplier issues, implement corrective actions and support Purchasing for supplier’s issues related to Quality.

Technical and Production Support:

- Verify and approve deviation forms, technical drawings, and communicate with drafters on abnormalities.
- Support production planning for quarantine items.
- Assist R&D with technical aspects.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Train staff on NCR software and assist with quality-related supplier issues.
- Maintain records for material certificates (EN projects) and tool calibrations

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Skilled at identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Uses data to substantiate decision-making.
- Able to carry out functional testing.
- Knowledge of standards.
- Paying close attention to detail.
- Possesses technical writing skills and demonstrated ability for writing documentation and reports.
- Ability to manage priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and quality management systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Bilingual, French / English an asset.

**Experience and Training**:

- Engineering degree (mechanical preferred) or technical degree (CEGEP).
- 2-4 years of experience working with Quality systems.
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a manufacturing setting.
- ISO 9001 internal auditor certification is a must.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001 and 14001 are considered an asset
