**Reporting Relationship**: Manager, Research Operations
**Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, days (with potential for evening and weekends)**,
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Define research objectives and develop comprehensive search strategies
- Prepare protocol, summary protocol and scientific report
- Conduct systematic literature searches to identify relevant studies
- Select and screen studies based on predetermined eligibility criteria
- Extract and analyze data from selected studies, assessing quality and risk of bias
- Organize and synthesize data to identify patterns, trends and relationships
- Seek peer-review from larger team, incorporate feedback, and ensure accuracy of the final report submitted to requesting agency
- Stay up-to-date with research developments and liaise with stakeholders and panel
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development
- Coordinate input and communication, including as needed meetings, between on-site and off-site investigators
- Oversee research assistants supporting with protocol and search strategy development, and screening
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate degree in health sciences or related field
- Graduate degree: Master’s degree in clinical epidemiology, health services, health professions education or related research fields
- 2 years of experience in design and conduct of systematic reviews required. Experience in conduct of systematic reviews within pain research, preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Experience with systematic review software (e.g., Covidence, DistillerSR) and management software
- Strong data management, analytical and scientific writing skills, preferred
- Knowledge in Research best practices and experience with the academic writing process.
- Strong understanding of opioid use disorder and opioid treatments preferred
