As an Environment Artist at Sandbox VR you’ll be creating virtual worlds that thousands of our guests will immerse themselves in. At Sandbox VR, we have multiple development teams working on unique and exciting projects. These projects might have completely different art styles or totally separate genres and themes. You’ll have the chance to work on many different kinds of projects and really flex your creative muscles in order to bring your unique style to each project.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Create high quality environment assets and compose them in our scenes to create an unforgettable mood and atmosphere for our guests to enjoy
- Be responsible for modeling, texturing, optimizing and polishing existing assets as required
- Working with the Art Director, Lead Artist, art team members and creative stakeholders to produce assets that reach the quality and performance standards of our art team
- Helping to execute on the Art Directors vision and shape the next stage of evolution in virtual reality entertainment

**What We're Looking For**:

- ** Jaw-Dropping Portfolio**:You have used your considerable experience in creating high quality 3D assets, Environment and can prove that by sharing your portfolio of personal and professional work. Ideally your portfolio will show consistently high quality examples of your work across a variety of different art styles.
- ** Experienced**:You have a minimum of 3+ years working on 3D assets for VR or non-VR Video games. You have a degree or certification in 3D art, digital art, a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge. Ideally you have shipped at least one commercial video game for PC or Console.
- ** Technically Proficient**: You are experienced in using MAYA (or similar 3D asset creation tools). You have a strong understanding of working with the Unity game engine, ideally within the HDRP render pipeline. You also have significant experience working with Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance Suite.
- ** Environment FX and Lighting**:You have experience creating environmental FX and using HDRP tools to provide lighting for scenes so your assets always look the best and your scenes are immersive and believable within the context of the worlds you’re creating.
- **Always willing to learn**:you’ll be responsible for keeping up with the latest unity features and plugins to make sure your projects look incredible.

**How You Can Impress Us**:

- You have worked on VR/AR projects in the past, whether they be professional or even hobby projects.
- You have a strong personal interest in video game technology. You understand industry trends and upcoming innovations. If you have given talks at games/VR industry shows or written articles about your craft, this is a great way you can demonstrate your understanding to us.
