**Job Description**:
**Summary**:
The Environment Artist will create objects and scenes requiring modeling, textures, shading, lighting, animation (camera and basic mechanical) and rendering, ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Create modeling, textures, shading, lighting, animation (camera and basic mechanical) for objects, environments or full scenes, ensuring to produce work up to the high-quality standards of Rodeo FX;
- Combine talents in Photoshop, Clarisse, Maya, Houdini and Nuke, with knowledge of modeling and camera projection techniques, to produce photo-realistic and stylized environments in 3D and 2D;
- Participate in the development of setups for the different stages of production in 3D and resolve any issues encountered;
- Work closely with the CG and Environment Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that enhance shots, while meeting project specifications and deadlines;
- May participate in the development of tools and techniques for the department;
- Keep Production and the project team informed of the status of work, issues to be resolved, ramifications of problems encountered and recommend potential solutions;
- Ensure deadlines are met, advising the project team promptly if delays could be expected.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry;
- Excellent knowledge of one of the three following softwares: Houdini, Clarisse or Maya software;
- Good knowledge of Photoshop, Substance Painter, Nuke and Arnold;
- Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines;
