**Job Description: Cook Wanted**
We’re on the hunt for a talented, food-loving Cook to join our crew at the **Sherwood Park Curling Club Lounge** This is a temporary position that’s perfect for someone who thrives in a lively kitchen, stays cool under pressure, and loves serving up delicious plates in a casual, fast-paced atmosphere.
**What You Bring to the Table**:
- 2+ years of cooking experience in a restaurant or professional kitchen
- Flexible availability and reliable wheels to get you here
- Comfort using kitchen gear like flattops, fryers, ovens, slicers, burners, and more
- Sharp knife skills (literally) and confidence with a variety of dishes
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Time management superpowers and multitasking magic
- Ability to run the show solo (opening/closing included)
- Great communication and a team-first attitude
- Bonus points if you’ve got catering prep experience
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Cook up tasty menu items with consistency and flair
- Keep the kitchen running smoothly and spotless
- Help with catering prep and events when needed
- Receive, organize, and store deliveries like a pro
- Ensure quality, portion control, and proper food storage
- Crush busy periods (and handle rushes like a champ)
- Team up with staff to keep service seamless
