Cad Design Drafter

**Design Drafter (Civil)**

O.D.K. Engineering is seeking a Civil Design Drafter to join our Team in Headingly, MB. O.D.K. Engineering is an Engineering firm specializing in providing project management, municipal engineering and construction services on First Nation-related projects.

Participate in civil design from proposal stage through to completion

The successful applicant will join a team that prepares designs, reports, studies, and contract documents and help manage various small to large municipal engineering projects.

This position will require you to create and conceptualize drawings for a wide variety of public and private sector projects

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other staff to produce base drawings, plan and profile drawings, perspective drawings, overlays, profiles, and related maps and illustrations primarily for civil site layout and residential communities, utility, grading, stormwater, water/wastewater, and municipal roadway projects.
- Participate in civil design from proposal stage through to completion
- Ensure drawing development adheres to drafting standards with emphasis on quality assurance and project schedule
- Perform basic calculations and present them in a logical and organized manner
- Manage project data such as drawing files, models, topographic surveys, design calculations, etc.
- Assist in drawing production, plotting and delivery

Qualifications:

- Possess excellent CAD knowledge
- Diploma in CAD or Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Civil Design Drafting with demonstrated technical abilities
- Tech. or C.E.T. registration in Manitoba would be an asset
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD 2021 or later version
- Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D would be an asset
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively with a team and as an individual
- Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills
- May occasionally be required to work overtime.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
