**ABOUT GOOD ROBOT** Good Robot was founded by three friends who quit their careers to live and work together as they did in school. We celebrate camaraderie which is at the heart of everything we do. And, like the founders, we are misfits - quirky, eccentric oddballs who left careers in which we felt we didn’t belong to create a community in which we do. The quest of Good Robot is: - “To be the curators of our communities’ quirky beverage & food experiences.”_ Our quest and values were discovered by our entire team. We agreed that in everything we do, we are: - Good-willed: hospitable, kind, generous, and good-natured towards each other, our guests, our partners, and our communities - Deliberate: acting with intent and considerate of the impact it causes - Trailblazing: setting trends rather than following them (zigging when our industry zags) - Quirky: not off-putting, but deliberately eccentric, fun, and different **STORYTIME** We can write out all the details of the job, but what is most important is for you to learn what it means to be a part of what we like to call our “island of misfits”, here are some quotes from our current kitchen bots. Jeff - **“I joined Good Robot because I want to be happy with the company that I work for, the people that I work with, and the customers that I serve. Good Robot has similar values and priorities to my own and I feel like I can foster a kitchen environment of mutual respect and professionalism while still getting s** done and having a good time”**_ We are always looking for the right misfits for our island. If you are a dedicated, hardworking, fun-loving, idea-generating blazer of trails and celebrator of all things quirky, please fill out the form below to be considered for our kitchen staff. **We are seeking experienced line cooks.** Working directly with the Kitchen Team, you will be responsible for food preparation, working the line, calling tickets, and ensuring high-quality products are sent out to our wonderful guests. **YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES** - Preparing the kitchen for service - Linework during service - Communication with the front of house during service - Communication with the Sous Chef and Taproom General Manager on the needs of the kitchen - Following recipes to prepare ingredients for service - Maintaining a clean and organized workspace - Washing dishes - Subscribe to Good Robot's Brand and Values including our Harassment & Discrimination Code of Conduct **BENEFITS** **DIVERSITY** Join our island of misfits at a very exciting and pivotal moment in our company's storybook. - **Note: Please note the listed salary includes our average hourly tip-out_ **Job Type**: Part-time **Salary**: $18.75-$19.75 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Discounted or free food - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Life insurance - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Holidays Supplemental pay types: - Tips Ability to commute/relocate: - Halifax, NS B3K 4P2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - "Please indicate any times of day and days of the week you are unavailable - "Who is your favorite Disney villain and why? - Why Good Robot? **Experience**: - Prep / Line Cook: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred) Work Location: One location
