Lou Pécou Pizzeria is an artisanal pizzeria located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, blending authentic Provençal flavors with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. We take pride in offering exceptional pizza using natural levain, accompanied by thoughtfully curated wines and desserts. We are looking for a passionate Front of House Manager to lead our customer-facing team and elevate the guest experience at Lou Pécou.

As the Front of House Manager, you will be the face of the restaurant, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk through the door. You will be responsible for managing all FOH operations, from overseeing service standards to training and mentoring staff. This role requires a balance of leadership, communication, and hospitality expertise, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment that reflects Lou Pécou’s commitment to quality and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Staff Management: Lead, train, and supervise the FOH team, including waitstaff, bussers, and host/hostess. Foster a positive, professional work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence in service.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that all guests receive top-tier service. Resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly, always maintaining a positive attitude that reflects our dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Scheduling and Staffing: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed during all shifts. Monitor performance and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and service quality.
- Collaboration with Back of House (BOH): Work closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure seamless coordination between FOH and BOH operations. Communicate any special requests, allergies, or timing concerns to ensure smooth service.
- Training and Development: Train new team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and Lou Pécou’s values, ensuring they can deliver a high level of service that aligns with our brand.
- Menu Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our evolving menu, including seasonal ingredients and wine pairings. Share knowledge with guests to enhance their dining experience, offering informed suggestions and highlighting our commitment to quality.
- Inventory and Supplies Management: Oversee the ordering and stocking of FOH supplies, including beverages, wines, and service tools. Ensure that all supplies are well-maintained and that costs are monitored.
- Event Management: Coordinate any special events, catering, or group bookings, working closely with guests and the kitchen to create memorable experiences that reflect Lou Pécou’s high standards.
- Financial Oversight: Assist with budget management, focusing on labor costs, beverage sales, and service-related expenses. Ensure the FOH team is working efficiently to meet revenue and service targets.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all FOH staff adhere to health and safety regulations, including cleanliness, hygiene, and COVID-19 protocols.

Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing FOH operations in a restaurant, preferably in a fine dining or high-quality establishment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading and mentoring teams, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Customer Service Focused: A passion for hospitality, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Ability to handle guest concerns and complaints with grace and professionalism.
- Menu and Beverage Knowledge: A strong understanding of food and beverage pairings, particularly with pizza and wine, as well as seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of the dining experience, from cleanliness to service timing, meet Lou Pécou’s standards.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset that works well with both the FOH and BOH teams to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
