Academy is a well-established and fast-growing fabrication company with location in both Onoway and Edmonton, AB. We service a wide rage of industries which includes oil & gas, mining, and other heavy industrial sectors.

**Job Purpose**

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with various departments to manage the efficient flow of all materials.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist Project Coordinator/Shop Manager in project-related activities as required (e.g. production tracking, drawing updates);
- Initiate work packages to be releasing to warehouse for allocation;
- Completes material takeoffs and works with vendors to receive quotes and purchases materials;
- Receive material into internal database;
- Coordinates materials for delivery to the shop;
- Tracks the allocation of materials;
- Verify materials allocated by warehouse are correct;
- Transfer relevant information from warehouse to fabrication shop for work;
- Monitors received material and matches to purchase orders;
- Searches inventory records to determine if enough material quantity is on hand;
- Follows-up with vendors and internal sources to confirm and schedule incoming material delivery;
**Requirements**:
Education
- High school diploma is required;
- Some post secondary education is preferred;

**Qualifications**:

- Computer literacy is mandatory;
- Proficiency in MS Office including; Excel, Word, and Access is preferred;
- Relevant work experience is an asset;

- Detail oriented and committed to accuracy;
