**Highly Skilled Mechanical Technician**

**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform precise fabrication and assembly of vacuum systems and components
- Troubleshoot, report and diagnose mechanical issues with vacuum systems
- Use an array of manual and power tools, lathes, and end mills

**Key Competencies**:

- Dexterity to handle intricate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
- Deep understanding and proven ability to integrate mechanical systems and controls
- Skilled at reading complex schematics and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail for resolving technical issues efficiently
- Analytical skills to identify and address complex issues in machinery repair
- Effective communication and teamwork for collaborating on projects
- Good time management and multitasking for efficient task completion
- Proficient in various fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in manufacturing environments
- Expertise in preventative maintenance for optimal equipment function
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality control
- Interpersonal skills facilitating collaboration with engineers and stakeholders
- Adaptable to various workplaces and open to learning new technologies
- Experience with scientific vacuum techniques provides added value
- Preference is given to proven experience and educational credentials
- Physical stamina for manual labor and extended work hours

**Education and Experience**:

- Relevant education in mechanical technology
- Minimum 5 years hands-on mechanical experience

**Job Type**:
Full Time, Days, Monday to Friday, On Site at Halton Hills facility; potential for travel to customer sites around the world

**How to Apply**:

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
