The Assistant Site Superintendent oversees the progress of construction on a day-to-day basis and assists the Construction Manager or Site Superintendent to ensure the timely completion of the project. This position also involves doing on-site carpentry.

**REQUIREMENTS**

The person in the Assistant Site Superintendent role must have a minimum of 10 years all-round carpentry experience. Good communication skills, experience monitoring quality control, and strong scheduling abilities are required for this position. Experience working on and/or managing a multi-family residential construction site, including supervising staff, would be an asset.

**DUTIES**

The duties of the Assistant Site Superintendent include, but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the daily construction activities on the work site, and ensuring construction schedules are maintained.
- Scheduling contractors and ensuring construction schedules are met.
- Supervising the activities of contractors and following up with trades as required.
- Performing on-site carpentry duties as needed.
- Ordering and receiving supplies to coincide with the construction schedule.
- Overseeing quality control on the site: Identifying and rectifying issues and deficiencies as they arise during construction.
- Directing the activities of, supervising, and managing Spring Creek labour on the site.
- Ensuring all safety regulations are complied with.
- Meeting regularly with the Construction Manager on issues on site, schedules, and safety.
