We are a well established family business in the heart of Burlington for 30 years. We have a loyal community of shoppers who frequent our store for its unique experience and independent feel. We are looking for individuals who share in our love of fine food and have an unwavering dedication to customer service to work in our Food Service Department.
Our Service department is an integral part of our customers experience.. It takes a dedicated team of knowledgeable experts to keep it stocked and presentable. Applicants must be ready to work in a fast paced environment, be willing to learn and have a flexible work schedule. Experience is not necessarily required, but an asset. There is room for growth and advancement within the company and department. Wages are open for negotiation based on experience and not limited to the outlined range.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
As a Bakery Clerk at Marilu’s Market, you are integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our service department while upholding the highest standards of quality and customer service. Your responsibilities include setting up the retail area each morning, meticulously rotating old and new stock to maintain freshness, and ensuring that quality control measures meet Marilu’s Market standards. You will be actively involved in baking, packaging, and managing display cases to present our delicious baked goods to customers. Providing attentive customer service is essential as you assist patrons with their selections and inquiries. Additionally, you will handle stock management, unload orders, and receive deliveries, while also taking care of garbage disposal and regularly cleaning and maintaining both retail and backroom floor spaces. Closing duties involve thorough cleaning, including washing dishes and utensils, and ensuring all areas are tidy and sanitized. Adherence to health, safety, and food handling protocols is paramount, with a neat appearance and proper attire required at all times. Punctuality and communication for scheduling, along with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization, contribute to the overall success of Marilu’s Market. You may also be assigned other duties as needed by Department or Store Managers to support departmental operations.
