Automotive Service Advisor

**NewRoads Honda**, a division of the NewRoads Automotive Group is hiring a** Service Advisor.**This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team with excellent earning potential. **Responsibilities of a Service Advisor role include**: - Greeting each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, letting customers who are waiting in line know that they will be helped soon. - Communicating with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems. - Securing agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed. - Obtaining customer and vehicle data. - Maintaining a dealership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair order written". - Scheduling appointments using dealership-approved forms. - Advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, using maintenance menus. - Keeping a daily log of repair orders written, status as well as carryovers. - Handling minor customer complaints and misunderstandings. - Communicating the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time consideration, and document properly on the repair order. - Following up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised. - Handling telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and returning phone messages promptly. - Delivering vehicles to customers and answer any questions, reviewing work performed, and explaining charges and coverage. - Interpreting warranty information and policies to customers. - Staying up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership. - Referring leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments. - Advising customers of parts ordered and making an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves. - Following company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust, and harsh chemicals. - Demonstrating behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers. - Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. - Assisting the Service Manager, as necessary. - Additional duties as assigned where required. **What You Offer**: - Ability to multi-task, organized, and detail-oriented; - Clean Drivers Abstract; - 3-5 years of customer service experience **What We Provide**: - competitive compensation; - excellent employee benefits; - health and wellness benefits; - excellent management support; - opportunities to advance your career in our expanding group. **Why work for us?** **NewRoads Honda**, is supported by the power of The NewRoads Automotive dealer group.
