The Project Controller's duties and responsibilities are:
- Assisting PMs with supervision, reporting, controlling, and assessing project progress and performance using reliable performance indicators
- Identifying deliverables, assigning budgets and checkpoints to these deliverables, status progress against check/control points, calculating earned hours and progress
- Producing project control deliverables
- Supervising all activities related to the schedule, the budget/costs, the scope of work, change orders, trends, resource planning, variances, invoicing, etc
- Plan staffing and project hours to ensure necessary resources are available and appropriately assigned for both approved work and proposed work
- Producing or supervising the development of required analyses and reports, presenting them regularly
- Active communication with Project Managers, Project Teams and Stakeholders
- Communicating schedule and budget status to ensure the project team is informed of project risks
- Defining activities, duration, resource loads, constraints, and logical schedule sequence based on comprehensive project plans
- Developing and maintaining project costs, including actuals and forecasting by collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Engineer
- Analyzing and reporting of project costs, including variances and root cause identification, graph updates of actual costs, incurred, physical progress, forecast to complete, key and or critical issues and scheduled achievements relative to the status of the project
- Reviewing invoices for correct collection and register invoices properly, following up on the payment process
- Updating project information for actual invoices, daily work with SAP for financial transactions corresponding to project
- Updating cost-controlling files
- Initiating approval of changes to baseline/estimates and new forecasted dates/performance
- Assessing opportunities to improve schedules and cost savings through an understanding of project management principles
- Timely identification, notification, resolution, and recording of deviations from the current plan including items that have the potential for future impact within the project scope
- Support project with preparation of purchasing process for equipment procurement
- Developing and maintaining the change management process, including reviewing change requests for cost and schedule impacts
This position is remote with site travel into the United States as needed.
**Salary**: Open to wage negotiations based on experience and qualifications.

**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is an asset.
- Experience with SAP and MS Projects is an asset.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- PMP or other Project Management certifications are considered an asset.
- Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and organizational skill.
- Are you currently eligible to work in Canada? (For example: permanent resident, valid work permit, etc)
- Valid Passport.
- Are you willing to Travel into the United States if needed.
