Working in support of insightsoftware's Equity Plan Solutions, the Project Controller plays a pivotal role in management of large-scale enterprise projects. This individual is responsible for overseeing the financial health of a project or program by managing all financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing. insightsoftware’s Equity Plan Solutions enables streamlined tracking, management, and reporting of equity compensation for both private and public companies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee project revenues and expenses to ensure it stays within budget
- Develop (in coordination with CFO) and manage detailed budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
- Prepare and present project financial information to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial matters within a project
- Prepare accruals and revenue recognition calculations.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures, adhering to legal standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial project controls and guidelines
- Review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Consult with project managers to define and review budgets and timelines.
- Ensure appropriate payments to contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify and investigate any financial discrepancies or issues.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend actions to mitigate risk and optimize project financial performance.
- Ensure all financial transactions related to the project are properly documented and approved
- Regularly audit project finances to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Know and use all key customer resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid resolution of customer concerns
- Maintain strict confidentiality

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years accounting or financial management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management and financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- High level of agility and ability to manage change
- Ability to work proactively and constructively in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed team environment
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools
- Communication skills; high level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
- Presentation skills; high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
