Founded in 1919, Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club is a premier private club nestled in the heart of Muskoka. With a long-standing reputation for excellence, the Club offers Members and guests an exceptional blend of leisure, sport, dining, and community in an unforgettable lakeside setting.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Chef to lead and oversee our Culinary department. This role is ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong leadership, energy, and a guest-first mindset. As part of a Club deeply rooted in family, friendship, and tradition, the Executive Chef plays a key role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere and delivering thoughtful service that reflects these values in every Member and guest interaction.
**Job Requirements of this position will include, but not be limited to**:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation
- Develop innovative, seasonal menus aligned with Member preferences and industry trends
- Recruit, train, and develop the culinary team while fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Manage food and labour budgets, inventory, and cost controls
- Monitor waste, purchasing, and portion control to support financial targets
- Collaborate with Clubhouse and events teams to plan and execute weddings, tournaments, and private events
- Conduct tastings and menu reviews, incorporating feedback as appropriate
**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- 5-7 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience in fine dining, private clubs, or similar high-service environments preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, budgets, and staff
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
