We are looking for a talented People Operations Manager to help us scale our amazing team to the next level.
This role will offer the opportunity to build, execute and own people programs across a cutting-edge start up that is disrupting the staffing industry in healthcare. We want to grow strategically and support our talented team.
This is our first full-time HR hire - we have good foundational practices in place but are ready for a true people and culture leader to grow and support the entire organization.
You will have strategic and operational ownership of all HR functions including talent recruitment, development and oversight of a robust performance review process, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and all people-related programs, processes and policies.
Your first priority will be leading talent acquisition to help build out all elements of our business, from operations and sales, to marketing, finance and account management, to name a few areas.
You will design and implement learning and development programs that enhance the team’s skills, capabilities, and promote career progression.
You are passionate about creating an employee onboarding experience that is based on best practice and leads to higher levels of employee satisfaction.
You are also a transparent and compassionate leader and colleague, who helps all employees reach their full potential.
**About The Deliverables**
- Work closely with members of the leadership team to develop and execute best-in-class functions like recruitment, performance management, learning and professional development programs.
- Lead day-to-day HR functions including, but not limited to employee relations, on-boarding, disciplinary matters, talent management, training and development, compensation and benefit reviews, recruiting, policies and practices.
- Develop and update procedures, policies and company guidelines in accordance with provincial regulation.
- Develop and manage reward and recognition programs.
- Coordinate the identification and development of training programs throughout all functions and levels, and ensure they are sufficient and aligned with the business strategy.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
**About You**
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Previous experience supporting or scaling a high-growth organization
- Demonstrated success in sourcing talent, cultural development, performance management, compensation planning, total rewards, employee relations
- You’re an empathetic leader who values respect, integrity and collaboration, and with a strong bias for action
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law, practices, and policies (Foundational Employment Standards Act knowledge would be an asset)
